What better way to spend those quiet times of Easter than making a few Christmas cards for the stockpile I will need. There're close to 100 that I will need to make between now and then so felt this would be a good use of my time.
The first two I have are simple in black and silver.
The secret slider was inspired by Tuesday Morning Sketches but I missed the closing for that. These things happen.
First up
I stamped the tree images over at a friends house so am unsure of the origin. I think they were "stampin up" but forgive me if I'm wrong please.
The others, I picked up in our local knitting shop in the bargain bucket. They are not named.
The snowflakes were stamped and embossed in silver on black c.s. The backing is textured silver card.
Second card
Using the same tree stamp and following the sketch over at Christmas Card Challenges.
Using the off cuts of the card above with some silver ribbon for one layer. Some silver embossed vellum that was a charity shop find. Layered onto some silver flecked black paper, then onto a matt silver C.S. base.
The snowflake is an X-Cut cut and emboss punch. You can just make out the silver peeloff I used that says "Merry Christmas"

All lovely but I particularly like the third card, but probably only because I like that backing paper! Another three cards done - how many left to make?
