A birthday card!

Yep even with Christmas looming - there are still birthday cards to make. This one is for a friend's daughter who is turning 13 in the new year. Another teenager!!
I thought she deserved a card that was a bit more grownup for this momentous occasion of entering her teens, though still girlie with lots of sparkle.
I used the gorgeous papers from Crafty Chaos' "Dancing with Fairies" range and an image from Delicious Doodles called "Free Spirit". The sketch is that from Fairymoon Crafts.
The image was coloured in using promarkers, with just a touch of purple stickles on the wings.
The dark pink backing paper was painted with a silver shimmer paint to give it that sparkle. I also added a touch to the fur of the wolf and the moon behind the fairy. The backing circle is from the citrus range of DCWV that was in my scrap box. A couple of lengths of ribbon and some gems to finish the card. I did use some border peeloffs just to finish the glitz, all on very pale cream, linen embossed card base.
I am entering this into the challenge over at Fairymoon Crafts as it is their sketch.
Also into the Delicious Doodles 2nd challenge - "Celebrations"

I made a door plaque to go on my crafty room door. I coloured me with promarkers. The papers are all from Crafty Chaos from the Halloween Howlers range. The "charms" down the side are a mixture of buttons and bits from a bracelet. Eyelets attached and threaded with ribbon.
The purple hair..... I really do have. hehehe

I am going to enter this into one or two challenges this week for Halloween as it is celebrating that time.

Pumpkinhead

I knew when I saw this new image from Tellen's Place, it would make the ideal halloween card for my grandson. The challenge over on StampitCrazy stirred me into making it earlier than maybe I would have. Ordinarily when entering a challenge I try to use that company's stamps, but crafting pennies being a bit tight at the mo ... you all know how that is. My apologies Barb.

So I have this little easel card to offer this week.



The front facing papers are from Crafty Chaos Designs.
The main image is Tellen's Place as is the big pumpkin in the group, taken from Sgt Pepper digi. All the other elements I'm afraid - the origin has been forgotten by me. I added some fibres hanging to give a spiders web feel to it.
Just right I think for a 4 yr old. Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it.
