Day 7 of the 31 Days of Hallowe'en

A quick post because I'm heading off to work and forgot to schedule this. Ooops
Day 7 - a whole week of posting a project every day to celebrate, in Smeared and Smudged style, All Hallows Eve / Samhain / Day of the Dead.
For the full blog roll of participating Bloggers - look over to the right hand bar - it's still there.
The full rules, prize information and list of fabulous sponsors are available in the forum here and at Terra's blog..
If you are following the list, you will have arrived from the very talented Valerie.
Today I bring you a tag. One for the Day of the Dead celebration.

Here I used one of the Sugar Skulls from Smeared Ink - #1 out of the Calaveras set. Coloured, I know, in not my usual colour palette. But I wanted it to tie in with the metal leafing.

Glossy accents on the coloured places.
The leafing done by dry embossing, applying the sticky stuff to the raised bits and then the leaf.
The torn scraps are from my scrap box. Flowers from Duck Pond Crafts.
There is a little dry embossed and painted head stone in there under the skull as well.

Thank you for visiting and for all your kind comments so far.
Now it's the turn of the lovely Sharon to go visit and see what delights she has to offer.

  4. Such a lovely tag. All of your fabulous work really shows up in this project. I love the raised leafing - don't really follow how to do it, oh, wait, is it on top of embossing? That must be it.
