Heavy Metal - With Delicious Doodles

It's Team A's turn to host the challenge over at Delicious Doodles this week. The theme for the challenge is

HEAVY METAL

Any metal you like, not just a charm. Try stretching those imaginations a bit. As long as there is some metal there, we'll love it.
The other girls on the team have made some marvellous inspirational pieces and are well worth a nosey at.
My project - A gatefold card using that gorgeous Steampunk Fairy.

The basic card is made from a kraft card sheet and the panels covered with some DCWV paper from the "heirloom" stack. The front panel (and the other side of it) is a die-cut metallised piece of card, embossed. Secured with bronze eyelets. More die-cuts in the centre are secured with more bronze eyelets and that's where the other side comes in - to neaten it all off.
Decorating. As previously mentioned, we have our Steampunk Fairy taking centre stage. Coloured with promarkers with just a few touches of metalised markers.

See that arm band she sports? Well I made some spirals to mirror that from a few short lengths of wire. These were attached to the card using sepia accents after securing a few feathers on there first.
Then a length of copper ribbon was added with a nice big bow, just like that on her dress.

Your turn folks to get heavy and break out those metal bits and bobs and come join us at Delicious Doodles so that we can admire your work.

I'd like to enter this card into the challenge at
