It's not often I make cards lately, but with Valentine's Day closely following my Wedding Anniversary, I thought I'd better get at least one done for at least one of the occasions.
I used some of the stamps from Chocolate Baroque's Punky Romance set for my first card.
The heart was stamped twice. First on white card and heat embossed before dusting with distress ink to remove the white glare and also on kraft. Both fussy cut out and layered up.
The back ground started off as plain kraft card to which I added distress oxide inks then stamped with archival vermillion. The sentiment stamped onto the same card. All layered up as seen and mounted on a kraft card base.
The second card came about because someone on facebook was asking about the "floor polish technique". Chocolate Baroque stamps again to the rescue. They do seem to be my "go to" stamps lately. The April Fairy stamp set was ideal to use for this rarely seen technique. Sheena Douglass was the crafter I first learnt this from way back when searching you tube for inspiration, in the days before pinterest. "Caught in Crystal"
The corner stamp is from the Lace Fragments set it's so delicate and I think sets the scene for the centre panel so well. The wording from the Punky Expressions set
