Our own Heros

Yep merry bloggers, it's Friday and time for a new challenge over at Tellen's Place.
This week it's all about those special males in our lives. Whether they be husband, son, dad, uncle etc or just a special friend. We want you to make a card, or any other project you want, for them.
My card was made with my grandson in mind. He just loves dragons, dinosaurs ..... anything big that ROARSSSS.

Made with cream and brown cardstock, I edged 3 sides of the top layers and matted these onto the contrasting bases. With an unpunched section at the bottom to add emphasis. the front panel featuring Dragon Warrior lifts up to reveal the sentiment behind it.

This was achieved by scoring and folding the top of the front panel, two lines about 5mm apart to form a gusset. The back layer was carefully cut to allow this to be inserted to form the flap, securing at the back wth tape.
On this card I also cut a slit in the front panel along the back fold to allow the sentiment panel to be poked through and show on the front.

The letters are from a sheet of die cut letters that were in a kit I recieved as a gift.
I also tied some raffia to the front panel. This acts as a place where the detachable rosette can be hung from.
This was cut from core-dinations and I glued a button with a star on it as a centre and attached a pin on the back so it can be worn.

Well that's about it for my card. Now we all want to see your "Male cards". Terry has even provided everyone with a great little freebie to get you started. Hop on over to Tellen's Place and have a look at the delights made by the other divas, grab an image and make a something to show us.

I am entering this into the challenge over at I Did It Creations Challenge Blog - Card for a child. This is for my young grandson.
