Ribbons for Tellen's Place

Show us your ribbons please. It's as Terry says, we use them a lot of the time when making cards so why not enter our challenge at Tellen's Place with yours?
Well my project is not what a lot would expect. (**evil laugh**). All last year I escaped the cupcake frenzy, now I have succumbed.
I used one of the dark images called Egreth. He reminded me of more than a couple of people with his pot belly. In this scene though, it's his birthday. Being the glutton he is, I have him with his b'day feast of cakes and more cakes. All layered onto a DI and water splodged pearlised diecut oval shape. With a red thong ribbon round the main cakes neck. These images are from a book called "A Zombie Ate My Cupcake" by Lily Vanilli and on her blog. Her blog is well worth a look round, it's not all gorey, there are some fabulous cakes on there. She even supplies Harrods now.
Egreth, himself, was coloured using promarkers and mounted onto the middle section of the side stepper card with a couple of red ribbons tied round and just a thin black one.
The main card was made from core-dinations, black with pale green. I dry embossed some cupcakes down the side and sanded down to show the core. A splash of red wirey ribbon threaded and tied at the top
The bottom layer has a computer generated sentiment, printed in red and distressed with black soot DI. a thin red ribbon to finish it off.
I suppose I'd better show what all this looks like.......

I am entering this into the challenge over at Haunted Design House, #71 - Bizarre Birthday.

  2. *laughing* This IS unusual but so cool that you have to like it Helen. I adore your creative sense - it has great humor and keeps one on one's toes because you never know what to expect - very cool!
