Yet Another C'card

Well, we're well and truely snowed in. Even hubby's 4x4 hasn't been able to move!!! I made it into work on monday, that was it. As of this am we had over 30cm of the white stuff at the door!!
Staying in and crafting (mostly making boxes or thick envelopes for previously made cards) has been the reason why I haven't gone stir crazy as we even lost the internet for a while. No milk or bread to be had in this small area of Scotland, luckily I had been shopping on friday before all this.

Anyway - on to one of the cards I had made in this "enforced" crafting session.
I followed the sketch over at Fairymoon Crafts for this one.

.

The image is from Digis With Attitude!, one of the "Grumpy Gretchen" range called Santa's helper. I wanted to do a Christmas card out of the normal colours and this "Berry Snow" range from Crafty Chaos was the ideal choice.
All colouring was done with promarkers with just a touch of purple glitter to the "furry bits" on the outfit of Gretchen. A tiny bit of ink distressing and some purple gems were all I felt this needed.
I am entering this into the Fairymoon Crafts challenge as it is their sketch.

cake with a 'tude

I get asked to make the cards for my teamies at work, now that they know I can. I don't mind - it's my contribution into the "pot". This week it's a "girly girl" card that's needed.
I chose to use this little image from Digis with Attitude. Grumpy Gretchen's made a cake here.

For help with the design of the card, I went with the sketchy over on Sketch and Stash.
Die Cut Dreams have specified using staples ... so I combined the two.

The image itself is coloured using promarkers. The panel is Papermania. I have used diecuts for the picture frame, sentiment and side tags.... all from a fab RAK. A little bit of border peel offs for the sparkle. The flowers are all from Crafty Feelings. I coloured my ordinary silver staples with alcohol ink to give them that shiny red look.. add a little bit of spotty ribbon.
All then mounted onto green cardstock base.

I am going to enter this into the challenges
Sketch and Stash #48 - It is their sketch after all

Attitude? What Attitude?

Digis with Attitude is a new challenge blog I have just found out about. It's all about the attitude! They have this great little miss - Grumpy Gretchen - in a variety of poses and outfits. This one is the freebie this month.... Gretchen on a girls' night out. The challenge this week is to "Bling it on".
Well it is my daughter's birthday soon and this young lady is soooooo much like her, It just had to be done. I have left room at the bottom for a personal sentiment - it's not going to be given like this. I know - I don't do bling or girly cards very often but I had to use this image!!
I have coloured Gretchen with promarkers with just a touch of metallic paint on the headband, necklace and shoes. Added stickles to the neckline and hem of her dress and a little gem on the headband. Backed onto glitter card and then onto amethyst coloured paper that I used my drippy goo punch on. The flowers are all from Crafty Feelings. I added some little gems to the corners of the image layer. The "Attitude? What Attitude?" words are computer generated and embossed. The shapes have been cut out using LOTV shape templates.
Thanks for looking.
