Day 29 of 31 Days of Hallowe'en

For full deets on this Freaking fangtastic Blog hop organised by Smeared Ink and The Smeared and Smudged forum, please hop on over to Terra's blog. All the info on the days sponsors are there as well as any other info you think you might need.  The blog hop roll is there in my side bar.

Good morning folks. How are we all? Nearly at the finish line. Just two more days to go. Oh my, am I going to have to spend some time sorting through the mess of papers, stamps and other paraphernalia that is now my craft room. I have been trying to tidy as I go but fighting a losing battle some days. The weekend is soon enough says that little demon in my head.
Anyway. What have we here today? A pair of shoes? Not just any shoes though. A pair of witches shoes. Because of the stamping rule of this hop, I have opted for a gaudy pair of orange shoes - party shoes?
If you want to make some - the template I used can be found at the blog Skip To My Lou.
I added a strip of black paper, cut to a point and curled up at the toes.

Just plain orange cardstock for the main shoe and paper from MME Halloween Sparkles for the lining.
The stamps used are from Inkadinkadoo - Gemstone Halloween.
I haven't added embellishments as these are destined to be sweetie filled for young children. I don't want any choking hazards in young hands.

Another quick and simple project added to the pile of treats for the local children.

Again, thank you to those loyal hoppers that have been leaving their fabulous comments throughout the month.
Now to think on what I can make for tomorrow lol
See you then

day 9 of 31 days of Hallowe'en

Well I'm still hanging in there. Day 9 already of the fabulous 31 day long blog hop organised by Smeared and Smudged to celebrate Hallowe'en. The blog list is still there in my right hand side bar. For full details of the rules and regs, it's best you go read them at the forum or at Terra's blog. Terra has all the info on the daily prizes available from our fabulous sponsors as well.

My little piece today. Yes it is little. It measures 9cm x 7.3cm that's about 3.5" x 3".
It's an altered box that had some charms in it.
Painted black then distressed along the edges. Some inchie stamps from Inkadinkadoo stamped onto thin orange card to form the scenes on 3 cubby holes. An inked image of bottles stamped in white onto black when I was staying with a dear friend, Black Dragon, in the summer, was cut up and stuck in two more of the holes. Another image formed the front of a little book.

The bottles have Goblins' eyes (seed beads) and powdered Dragon blood (gold glamour dust) in them.
a tiny candle (again thanks to BD) and 3 beads - poison, laudenum and a cows scull - are the other contents.
This is the box with the contents removed

Thank you for visiting me and for all the kind comments I have received.
You will, no doubt, have arrived from Valerie's fabulous Blog and now is the turn of the equally fabulous Sharon to go ooo and ahhh over her creation.
See you all tomorrow.xx

Halloween card

A new challenge blog has started. I missed the first few weeks and was only because I went via some links that I happened upon it. It being Making Halloween Cards! This fortnights challenge. #4, is "Tags and Tall"
"I can do this" thinks me. I'm all glitzed out from making other projects and needed some respite. Back to the darker side of me.
So a 3 tag card. I had just the stamps. A set of 9 from Inkadinkadoo, haunted house inchies.
3 stamps per tag. Using scraps of orange, red and rust card stock. The main card was well and truely ink distressed with black soot DI. and 3 square apertures cut out. The front covered in deep green, again that black DI with a Smeared Ink "Holy City" graveyard.

I constructed some carriers for the tags and adhered inside. This enables the tags to be moved in and out so that all pics can be seen.

I just happened to have some halloween ribbon, so this was stapled to the tags.

The carriers were covered with a handmade paper panel. More ink and a grid pattern stamped on.
The opposite is just some orange paper, and you guessed it, more black DI.
