Catchup time

Wow, has it really been 3 weeks since I last posted something here. Yes it has been!!!
Been busy, busy, busy though. My last "sticky post" about the crop. Well it went really well and "quite a few pennies" were raised for Arthritus Care. The fund raising is still on-going of course and another crop is planned for June. All details can still be read about on Karen's Facebook page. Also the vid of that scary (for Karen) abseil from the Forth Road Bridge.

I have made a few cards as well as a couple of other crafty bits.
Over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack there are a few groups dedicated to different types of crafts. Cardmaking, scrapping, altered art etc. It's designed to push one into the realms never visited before, expanding and sharing knowledge among the "villagers".
I have the honour and pleasure of being one of the moderators in the cardmaking group.
We have been challenging the ladies to join us in making cards using different folds. There are so many out there, it's a shame not to try them at least once.
1st up was the Diagonal Double Pocket Card as featured by Terry

I used a 12"x12" piece of BoBunny double sided paper for the actual card.

DCVW and core-dinations for the tags.

The core-dinations was embossed and sanded.

Image is from Smeared Ink coloured with pencils and blended with mineral oil. The sentiment is SU! The flowers are made from lace, coloured with promarkers and buttons from stash. The papers were given to me, so no idea on origin. The shapes are freebies from LOTV






































3rd card was Joyce's Tent Card
Docrafts and Studio G stamps stamped with memento ink

Coloured with promarkers

Glossy and crackle accents to highlight

Sentiment stamped with stazon onto vellum

Papers/cardstock/gems/buttons/ribbon/flower/brad from stash

Aperture cut with craft knife







The one for this week is a slider card

Soot stamped front using Smeared Ink stamps, Holy City set.

The owl is a button from stash attached with a jump ring.

Inside

The ghost is a stamp from Inkadoo.

I "reverse paper pieced" the ghost.

I cut the ghost out from the central card bits (I used thickish paper as I needed 3 layers here) and stuck the white vellum between.




More interesting folds are planned. Stay tuned. Or better still come visit and join in.

Arthritus Care Scotland

This is a special post for a very dear friend to anyone out there that lives within travelling distance of Kilmarnock in Scotland.

Some Jewellery

Here's another couple of projects that have kept me busy these last few days.

First up my skully bracelet.
The main bracelet is waxed cord. Twisted into a thicker cord with a chain twisted in with it.

To this was attached some of my skull charms and bits from halloween last year. Then stamping onto shrink plastic with the flowers from Smeared Ink's "Bo Peep", coloured with promarkers, and attached with more chain.

I now have to make a necklace - a request after this was seen.





Next up is a bracelet and matching earring for soon-to-be DIL. Her 21st on Monday.
Again using a set from Smeared Ink . This time the original Li'l Grumpies. The small set lends itself so well to this kinda thing.

The reason there's only one earring? She only needs the one. She has a small hoop in the other ear.

Multi coloured this time. Various beads, pearls and findings from stash.

Oval Stepper Card

It's been a few days since I last blogged anything, I know. Not that I have been slacking. Helping a friend colour loads of images for a marathon card making session took up most of last weekend. Then there's babies being born left, right and centre. Of course these all had to have a card.
Anyway.
This was one of the projects that I was working on for Stampin Dymonz Scrap Shack. There's a tutorial to go with it as well.

The background was brayered with DIs before stamping onto. Stamps are from Lavinia Stamps.
The little dragons and plantlife were stamped using DI, the fairy with stazon. This also gave it an extra bit of shine. This was backed with lace before sticking to the base card.

The papers on the front 2 steps are from "Dancing with Fairies" range from Crafty Chaos, the pink at the back is from old stash.

No I didn't forget the inside.
The oval panel here was embossed with a sissix plate then highlighted the butterflies with more DI.

Haunted Design House has 400 stalkers

Yep it's official - so says Barb; our Masterful Mistress of the Macabre over at Haunted Design House. It's time to celebrate.
Wow.
There's a few requirements of course- but you'll have to go visit to see them all. I'm not going to spoil the fun.

Anyone that has been following me for any length of time will know I like to play when I have the time and I had the honour of being chosen back in November as that month's master of the macabre. I hope my schedule allows me back again this week as it's a freakin free for all.
So hop on over and play folks.

Folded Pocket Card

My first official card for Stampin Dymonz Scrap Shack. The challenge is being hosted by Terry this week and the type of card to be made is this - A Diagonal Double Pocket card. They are really simple to make. Split Coast Stampers has a great tutorial.
This one was made with a BoBunny paper that has been in my pile for over a year. Some stick on lace and flowers and brads from stash



The tags made from core-dinations and DCVW citrus stack, embossed. The core-dinations was sanded to reveal the lighter red core.

The stamp is an old one from Daisy and Dandelion

Some matching twine through the copper eyelets.

This all folded in nice and neatly to post
