A Splash Of Paint - Oh What Fun We Have

I have recently been teaching a few paint techniques to a fabulous group of ladies in my local area in my recently acquired status of a member of the DecoArt Helping Artist program. The ladies have all got different skills in crafting and have all got a thirst to learn more. Tastes differ as well, from the real girly, girly through to grungy/steampunk. One thing they all have in common is the love of crafting. The last few weeks have been a journey into the world of paint and different techniques that they can apply their own tastes to. No set project other than paint a picture frame and then venturing onto canvas. The frames were a great success with crackle techniques being a firm favorite and stenciling a close second.

The canvases - Guess who forgot to take her camera!!!
Sharon finished two canvases - she elected to use a pre-printed paper stuck to the canvases and just stencils and black paint. Carol - after a priming with white Gesso went onto use the DecoArt Brick Wall stencil with Americana Red Violet then the Timeless Treasures stencil and Americana Lamp (Ebony)Black.
A clock mechanism added and this is now hanging in her home. She's well chuffed with it and rightly so.

Me - what did I do? - Well see the other post for today for my massive (for me) 30x40cm canvas
