Day 16 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 days of Hallowe'en

Well just over half way through. It's been more testing than I thought it might be.With everything else going on - like work !!
The rules and details of all the fabulous sponsors that have generously donated prizes along the way can be found on Terra's Blog and of course on the Smeared and Smudged forum.
The blog list is still there in my right hand side bar - should you get lost.

Last Saturday, during a bit of a shin-dig over on face book with Rick St Dennis, most of the EDT and some fabulous friends, I made a quip about waxing spiders. This is the project that I was working on. The wax is a metallic rub on wax used on the embossed part of the back of this project.
This is a box that I bought. The pyrography art of Julie Pickering of One Off Arts. The box started life as a pale beech colour.
This is how it turned out after it was altered.
The front was treated with "vintage photo" and "festive berries" distress inks.
The ribbon goes all the way round to the back.

The embossed panel was liberally dosed with more vintage photo DI before the vintage gold wax was applied. The glimpse of orange you see is the tissue paper glued to the sides.
Then there's the image. A digi stamp from Rick St Dennis, just one of the sponsors of this fabulous Hallowe'en blog hop.

The image is called Hexology.

Coloured with promarkers, then plenty of antique linen DI to age it.

That's your lot from this cubby hole today. I hope you went to see the lovely Valerie before visiting here and I'm sure equally lovely Sharon would show you a warm welcome over at her blog next.

All things being well - I'll see you tomorrow. Thank you for visiting me today and for all the kind comments that have been left by you all.
