Marina

Teri over at Delicious Doodles has been doodling again. Just had to use this little beauty as soon as I could. Her name's Marina.

I followed the sketch over at Seems a Little Sketchy.
The main DP is DCWV from the citrus stack. On top of that a pale blue, nestie cut, that I heat embossed some swirls onto before backing with pearlised white. The white swirls are cricut cuts.
The image was backed with turquoise that was edge punched after being coloured with promarkers.
The flowers and charms are from Duck Pond Crafts.

Wow, He's one year old already!!

I had an urgent request to make a card for DIL's little nephew. He'll be a whole one year old on thursday. Only seems like yesterday when he was being welcomed into the world. No problem, so that was the job for this afternoon. I settled on this Dustin Pike image of a little dragon in amongst a pile of pressies.
coloured with promarkers and used the blending pen to make faint patterns on the pressies. I printed the image twice so that I could cut out the dragon and layer him up.
The entire card was made following the sketchy over at Seems a Little Sketchy Challenges.
The papers and the mesh are all from a card kit from Duck Pond Crafts.
The bunting has the sentiment hand written on as is the "1" on the rosette. The colour green used as primary because that was requested.. No hard little embellies used incase the wee man gets hold of it. Can never be too carefull with little ones I think.

A winter birthday card

Birthdays don't stop round Christmas just because hallmark and clintons stop selling them. Before I started making the odd card, I used to have to buy the December b'day cards in November and the February ones in January because Valentine's day takes over. No excuse now lol. This one's for my step daughter. Born Old Year's Night.

I've used a Sassy Studio Designs image and the sketchy from Seems A Little Sketchy Challenge Blog.
There's no designer paper used here, just dry embossing. For the top panel, the embossing folder got inked with my SU! whisper white pad and the dark blue cs laid in and run through the big shot, backed with pale blue. The back panel is black/blue cordinations. Again through the BS and then sanded and backed with more pale blue c.s. All mounted on grey blue c.s.

The same grey blue was used as a mat for the image.
Coloured with promarkers with icicle stickles on the fur and glossy accents on the mug, lips and eyes. The image and mat were cut and embossed with a spellbinder die and while the die was in place, a touch of DI brushed on.
The organza ribbon has some beads dangling with the happy birthday sentiment that was stamped onto shrink plastic and heat treated after adding some more DI.
Some "Ice" gems up in the tope left hand corner to finish.
