continuation of meander mini - chains that bind

Loathsome Lotharios is the challenge over at Haunted Design House this week. The idea of continuing last week's 3" meander mini album with subsequent challenge entries appealed to me. Thankyou Susan.
So using some of the dark images from Tellen's Place Designs, we have a little tableau of some adoring females under the spell of Creeth.

The papers are from Crafty Chaos and Moonlight Journey.
Behind the page with CreethNSumi is written "Nothing is more binding than LOVE, Nor as BLINDING"

and Shera standing behind having shaken those chains

Beyond The Door

I made a little video featuring the mini book made for the opening day of the Dark Arts Forum over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack, but after waiting over 6hrs for it to upload to blogger I'm going to post the pics here instead.
All the images are from Tellen's Place Designs, coloured using distress inks. The backgrounds of the ATC sized pictures are from Moonlight Journey. Additional papers from my scrap box are from Crafty Chaos and The Angel Company.
The pages are made from toilet tissue inners, painted black.
Various ribbons from stash. Hand made lace flower.

What did I make with the image?
2 cards. Using 2 of the different folds that have been featured in the card making group in The Village.
The first is a simple stair step fold

Image coloured with promarkers. Bottom strip is from a 6x6 paper docrafts masculine pack. Middle is striped vellum with peel off sentiment.
Back is a scrap of brayered paper from a previous card made, covered with webby "ribbon". MS punched "scary fence" threaded behind the image.

The second - a flap card

Trust me to make it more complicated than it really is by cutting a hole out.
The star cut from the main body was matted onto silver to form the "attachment"

The hole is covered with acetate then more from the docrafts masculine paperstack

The image coloured with watercoloured pencils and matted onto pearlised brown. DAD lettering from stash.

Blog candy was promised, wasn't it. Well to get mine (4 Liquid Pearls, 4 Stickles, and some "general" embellishments) I'm going to make it easy. I'll do a random drawing from the names that leave me a comment here and under my profile in The Village.
The different Dymonz will have different rules, so you have to look on their blogs.

So get hopping and have fun.

In the meantime there are 1 or 2 challenges I am entering into

Tellen's Place at Stampin' Dymonz

While I'm getting this blog upto date, I wanted to share this with whoever's reading.
Over at Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space there's a challenge going on using a specific Tellen's Place Design image. It's given free so no excuses.
rules are
You are to create an A2 sized card (4.25 x 5.5 inches) using this digi from Tellen's Place Designs.
  1. The digi is to be hand colored using markers -- Copics, SU! Stampin' Write Markers, ProMarkers -- any marker sets you have/use.
  2. Your card needs to be made using the following cardstock colors: Purple, Fuchsia/Magenta, and Black.
  3. As part of the use of this image, it must be matted using all 3 cardstock colors.
  4. You must also use cream colored lace ribbon on your project.
This is my take on it
The image reminded me so much of my grandmother, I likened it on her.

The image was coloured with promarkers with a touch of gold gel pen for the specs. The ink distressing done with tattered rose, milled lavender, dusty concord and black soot distress inks. This was then layered onto the required coloured C.S. Corner punched in opposite corners. "Happy Birthday" stamped all over the base pink c.s. which was layered onto more black.

The lace element of the recipe, well I cheated a bit here. The cream lace I have is too wide for this card so I coloured some white with my ivory promarker, decided it was too dark so lightened with alcohol ink blending solution. Gathered up to make a flower with a purple button for the centre, sewn onto the pink and black layers. The "21" are gel stickers and the letters "again" started off as red, coloured with black promarker.

This was then attached to the purple card base.

Simple and quick basic card.

Anything Goes !!

Anything goes time at a new challenge over at Tellen's Place Designs. They supply a freebie as well so following the rule that a TPD image must be used isn't hard to do. I had a quick scoot through the other entries to see what I was up against. Wow. Only 3 people out of 12 so far can read. Oh well. More chance for me, hehehe. joking.
I wanted to play along and love the dark images as my followers should know. It took me a couple of days before this project popped into the brain cell. Then there was no stopping me. Apart from the drying time needed before the final cutting.

Using 5 of the female dark images. Divas in their own way and it's the Divas that are being showcased this week. All coloured with promarkers

All made into small jigsaws.

The base is a couple of sheets of thin mount board, stuck together, dried under a weight to ensure no warping before glueing the girls on. Again keeping weighted flat until dry.

The images were then cut as seen using a die and my bigshot.

Yes, before you ask, they do come apart. My son had great fun mixing them up. (As old as he is).
