It's Monday, again. This post is for Smudgy Antics. The challenge blog of Smeared Ink and the Smeared and Smudged Forum.
It seems Alice is huge these days! Alice is everywhere! She has video games, challenge blogs, tag and ATC swaps and who knows what else...all devoted to her and Wonderland! That girl gets tons of attention! We expect to see lots of entries this week. Of course, being Smudgy Antics, we like things that are on the dark or edgy side of the art world. Smeared Ink has made their own collection of AIW and let me tell you, Alice is all grown-up now! You can find these jaw-dropping creations in the shop now. I provided the link for the entire set, but these can be purchased as singles as well. Trust me, you will want them all! They are Hot!
I bring to you, two of these awesome images.
The first is The Mad Hatter.
I made a card following the sketchie over at the Willow Sketchie challenge blog this week.
The image was coloured with promarkers and cut out with a nestie, the ink distressed b/g done whilst in the die. The BP is from the set "tea-time" by CraftyChaos. Mounted onto leather effect silver card then a blue card base.
The big sash of the image has been mirrored on the card. The sentiment was computer generated.
My second project is another wall hanging made from an old CD. This time I used the Cheshire Cat image.
Again coloured with promarkers. The image was mounted onto the cd after I attached some distressed tulle layers.
The back features another of Smeared Ink's images "It's about Time - Pocket Watch".
Printed onto grey paper and distress inked round the edges.
The dangly charm - that has a few elements that I thought fitted well - a red alcohol inked metal heart for the Queen, a little vial for the drinks, a key that opens the door, a rabbit and a little pocket watch.
That's about it for this week. Looking forward to seeing your "alternative" AIW creations. I hope you didn't forget to show some bloggy luv for the rest of the DT and their amazing pieces of artwork.

Bad Moon Rising
What's the challenge for you guys over at Haunted Design House this week? Well we're being sponsored by non other than
If you head on over to Haunted Design House - you'll be able to see some of the fabulous offers available right now as well!!
So this week's challenge is that your project has to have a moon on it, BUT considering this is Macabre Mondays - not just any old moon....
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that depicts a BIG BAD MOON.
Make it full, waxing, waning or crescent. Just make it big
and the main focus of your wonderfully wicked project.
Cute will get you in the door, but the Dungeon prefers things
creepy and dark.

What did I make?
I went for a hanging - either suspend from the ceiling or hang on the wall - it's double sided after all.
Made from one of those old CDs that would otherwise be destined for the bin. I basically followed the sketchie over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday for the layout.
and the other side
The front features a fabulous image from Papelitos Stamps. She's called
Marea tombstone. Coloured with promarkers with DI on the moon and fussy cut out. The BP is from my ancient stash, just added a bit of black ink to it. Some bats from Aly's Inky Fingers added. The reverse also features stamps from Aly's Inky Fingers.
For decoration, out came my enormous pile of seed beads. Threaded onto wire and bent into shape for the hanging bits. The swirls above Marea are hand drawn and tiny nail art gems stuck on.
Some spiky ribbon from stash completed the hanging.
Your turn to show us those Big Bad Moon projects, don't forget to go look at my fellow Minions' pieces of fantastic artwork for more inspiration. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Matchbook Swap
Over at the Smeared & Smudged forum, we had a match book swap recently. I just want to share some of the piccies I took of the ones I sent out.
First up is loosely based on AIW. Very loosely. Images and sentiment I thought should also be included
The front cover pic was taken before I added a bunny charm as well but forgot to take another pic
The second was mostly Steam Punk

Who Are You Calling A Succubus?
Macabre Monday again at Haunted Design House challenge #147!!! Wow nearly a round 150 already!!
This week we're being sponsored by the fabulous Kenny K.
This week we're being sponsored by the fabulous Kenny K.
Kenny K has generously offered up 2 digis of choice to each
of the chosen Gruesome Twosome
So what are you waiting for?
You already know the theme - it's there in my blog post title.
The rest of the minions have some wonderful eye candy for you waiting in the dungeon. My little contribution is this little card.
I used Lady Raven., coloured with promarkers.
I don't have an oval cutting die so just traced one round her, fussy cutting out the feet and hand so that I could slip two red balls behind. The sentiment is from a set by Creative Expressions. All this was then layered onto some BoBunny BP, then red paper then onto a black DL cs base, corners trimmed. The red and black lace and black satin ribbon from stash as were the gems. These are red with a few dots of black promarker to colour.
We'd love to see what you can make now. So get creating and come show us

Itsy Bitsy Spider
Smudgy Antics new challenge day as it's Monday!! This week it's time to re-look at a favourite nursery rhyme and bring out the side you wouldn't be explaining to your little ones. Bring out the dark side of them and turn them into something creepy or scary.
The Smeared Ink release of some great new digis last week might help you with this challenge!!
I went with Old King Cole, that merry old soul. Now why was he merry? He called for a pipe and a bowl and 3 fiddlers. What was in that pipe and bowl? My immediate thoughts were that they were for some illicit substance ;) so chose the BP that reminded me of that substance hehe. It's the Autumn/Fall digi paper from Delicious Doodles.
I followed the card sketchy from the Smeared and Smudged forum this month. There's more challenges going on there if you'd like to join in with an awesome prize for one lucky winner.
King Cole here was coloured using promarkers. I had to give him his "pink eye" lol. I fussy cut out the crown and fiddlers with the hands from a second image to give more dimension.then laid the whole thing on an embossed oval. Ribbon is from stash.
The other girls on the DT have been very creative and their projects need to be seen. We also have a newbie on the team, The wonderful Lisa has graciously joined us. Please pop by and say "hi" and welcome her.
Ok peeps - your turn - come and show us your version of a favourite nursery rhyme so we may come and show some luv

The Gold Bug
Poe's version that is. A short story as opposed to a poem but still well worth a read or two.
Quoth the Raven blog has set this month's quest as representing what this story says to us. I have been tardy and not completed the many projects pictured in my head for this challenge blog, for this I apologise, as it is run by some good friends and fellow DT members on other challenge blogs. Slap me now or forever keep your peace dears xx lol.
This piece started life so very different from the finished project. I just couldn't seem to fit in what I wanted to. This ended up being a fat book page instead of the ATC I planned. Oh well! The best laid plans ... etc.
You want to see the picture of course....

The images of the treasure map and Skull and Crossbones are from Delicious Doodles. The goat is from Reusable art - a site with royalty free images.
The gold bug itself was from google images, printed 6 times and layered up before coating with UTEE.

Dragon Tales
It's not only a great new set release from Smeared Ink, Dragon Love, it's also the theme of the challenge over at Smudgy Antics this week.
The other DT members have some great examples to show you of the other images but this is the one I chose to use this time.....Skull Keeper.
I altered a CD tub. The top that normally sits on top of the spindle to keep the blank CDs safe, turned upside down.
The paper used is from Susan's Crafty Chaos. Still waiting for her to rejoin the crafting community, I do miss her work.
I cut various sized circles, well my cricut did the hard work ;) and tiered them up. There is a circle under the big one that fits in the case to stop the lid sliding off. One of my skull beads and a couple of small spacers to form a knob. I needed some where to store my collection of skull beads after all.
Skull Keeper itself was coloured with pencils and blended with baby oil.The skulls it's protecting were coloured with promarkers. A graphite pencil used to form a back ground.
The wings were layered up so that they stood proud of the container and looked more "wing like".
Go look at the other examples created with the talent of the other DT members and come back and share your Dragon Tales. Please.

Hiding in the Corners
It's Monday, it has to be Macabre - over at Haunted Design House it is ;P
I got to play with Alexandria and Alice.
The main images are coloured with promarkers and popped up on the card.
The background scene and the two little cauldrons in the bottom corners were created using stamps from DeStempelwinkel and Aly's Inky Fingers. Stamped using distress and memento inks.
Glossy accents helped "lift" the cauldrons. The BP is from Susan's Crafty Chaos, who will hopefully be back with us soon. The sentiment is computer generated by me.
The top corners are also adorned, of course.
some little bat sequins with just a touch of bling for the bodies, lol
OK folks, your turn!! Come show us your adorned corners. For more fabulous inspiration - go visit the other minions. We have an even newer newbie than me in the dungeon, please don't forget him. Yes, we have a male minion as well now. Well worth a peek!
See you soon
