Morning Peoples day 31 has arrived
Morning peoples. HAPPY HALLOWE'EN / SAMHAIN to you all.
We made it!!! Last day of this marathon organised by the Smeared & Smudged Forum for the 4th year running. How many are still with us? I know that there have been a few drop out for many reasons. Such a shame. For all the rules the forum and Terra's blog are the best places to get the info. Including that of all the fantastic sponsors that have been lined up. There is a list still over on the right hand side bar of my blog should you find your self lost. What celebration would it be without the pumpkin? That modern day symbol of fertility and to scare the evil nasties away.
I used Evil Skully from Delicious Doodles as my template for this pumpkin. I have another to carve - but wanted to get this post up before taking son to the dentist.
The dark isn't dark enough at the moment to get a true piccy of the true effect. Forgot to take it last night.
You get the idea though?
I also made a couple more candles
Using stamps from Tattered Angels onto tissue paper.
That's me done for this 31 days. Just need to finish decorating.
Valerie is the very talented lady you will, no doubt have visited before me, and now is the turn of the beautiful blog of Sharon.
Thank you all for every single visit and comment this last month. I don't know if I could have done this without your encouragement.
Same time next year?
EDIT
I managed to get a pic tonight of my gourd.
I'd Like to enter this into the challenge at

Day 30 of the S&S 31 Days of Hallowe'en
Morning peoples.
We're nearly there! One more day to go for this marathon organised by the Smeared & Smudged Forum for the 4th year running.
Today I have made the cover for that Fat Book that I have been sharing these last 30 days. I have used mostly images that have been coloured and not yet found a home.

This is the front cover featuring Ichabod from Rick St Dennis.
The Closet Monster again from Rick. This was destined for the mobile I made originally but I ran out of room
A cat and spider web from Tattered Angels - Foiled onto black card
Meena from RSD
That's all my fat book pages got home now for me to look at and think back on this exhausting month.

Day 29 of the S&S 31 Days of Halloween with Smudgy Antics
Morning peoples.
Where has this month gone? We're nearly at the end of this marathon organised by the Smeared & Smudged Forum for the 4th year running.
This post also covers my DT post for Smudgy Antics this week.
The theme of this week's challenge is "Ghoul's Night Out"
How will you interpret this? I wonder.
I used one of the new images soon to be available in the Smeared Ink Shop. This one is called simply "Rollers".
Another Fatbook page.
I added some more text using glitter pen (looks more like slime to me hehe) If you can't quite see it, it says "A Ghoul has to look her best".
Valerie is the very talented lady you will, no doubt have visited before me, and now is the turn of the beautiful blog of Sharon.
There will be another post from me for Haunted Design House that will fit in with the Halloween theme. - In case you want to see more
Looking forward to seeing you all join us at Smudgy Antics again this week

I coloured the image with promarkers and, after fussy cutting her out attached her to a BP from Crafty Chaos. The sentiment is part of the set. This was inked with distress ink and popped up.
I fashioned a hair scrunchy from ribbon so that her hair can be tidied away after the styling was done. The new rollers are sculpey clay coloured on the end with a deep red promarker.

Tribute to Hammer with Haunted Design House
Hi peeps it's Macabre Monday time with Haunted Design House.
Our challenge to all those that wish to take it up this week is
Create a Dark, Gothic or Halloween based project that pays homage to that great institution of Hammer Films. Who are still, by the way, making films for those not in the know.
I chose The Gorgon to portray
Another Fat Book page for my 31 days of Hallowee'n memories. It fits the theme and it's October.
I used several images freely available on the web to create the background here. A garden and 3 stone statues of men in varying poses. To this I overlaid the image of Medusa's Daughter from Delicious Doodles.
Coloured with promarkers.
I added some snake like rik-rak braid and a little tag - "Beware a woman scorned, Don't screw with them"
Mounted onto black card ready for binding.
Looking forward to seeing all your tributes.
My fellow Minioons have also worked their enviable magic and you can find the links to their blogs over at Haunted Design House.
Thanks for visiting my humble abode.

Day 28 of the S&S 31 days of Hallowe'en Blog Hop
Nearly there. Only 3 more after today of this epic marathon blog hop organised by the Smeared and Smudged Forum for the 4th year running. Next there'll be Creepmas to consider lol. I will have to start them soon to be in with a chance of getting them the way I want them.
For all the rules the forum and Terra's blog are the best places to get the info. Including that of all the fantastic sponsors that have been lined up. There is a list still over on the right hand side bar of my blog should you find your self lost.
A simple palette of greys, orange and black. Bat boy was coloured with promarkers with just a touch of orange glitter pen. I think you can see better at an angle.
With just a few words "Mmmmm Worms!! written in the gel pen as well. He just reminded me of a childhood rhyme "Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, just 'cos I eat worms".
The background grey card was embossed with a sizzix folder. I wanted more texture, so I borrowed Lady Brayton's idea of the fruit net. Thanks LB :D
I am entering this fat book page into the following challenges
Dilly Beans - Halloween
Forever Night - Use Orange/Black/Grey

I'm hoping to get a bigger item done for the last day but don't hold your breath. I really should have been more prepared. My own fault.
On with today's item. One of the Fat Book pages that I promised my self.
Dilly Beans is just one of the oodles of fabulous sponsors along the way this month.
This is just one of the images available in her shop. This is her "Framed Bat Ghoul"On with today's item. One of the Fat Book pages that I promised my self.

Day 27 of Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Hallowe'en
On the final run down to THE DAY. Only 4 more after today of this epic marathon blog hop organised by the Smeared and Smudged Forum for the 4th year running. So many projects are still not even started. They'll no doubt just stay in my head for a while. I even went shopping in August, while on holiday for items to alter - but there's always Creepmas to consider lol. I will have to start them soon to be in with a chance of getting them the way I want them.
For all the rules the forum and Terra's blog are the best places to get the info. Including that of all the fantastic sponsors that have been lined up. There is a list still over on the right hand side bar of my blog should you find your self lost.
On with today's item.
Just an ATC.
I have used two images from one of our fabulous sponsors - Delicious Doodles here. The Devil May Care image has been inserted into the layers cut of The Graveyard.

Day 26 of the S&S 31 Day's of Hallowe'en Blog Hop
Well, there's less than a week left of the 4th Smeared and Smudged 31 days of Hallowe'en blog hop. This has been a blast so far and I wish I had more time to go visit all the other blogs joining in. What with working as well my time is at a premium so I hope I'm forgiven for not being a hopper as well. For all the rules the forum and Terra's blog are the best places to get the info. Including that of all the fantastic sponsors that have been lined up. There is a list still over on the right hand side bar of my blog should you find your self lost.
What have I got for you all today?
A pair of candles is all I'm afraid
They feature a couple of the new digis available in the Smeared Ink shop. Both from the Danse Macabre range. The ones I have used are The Skeleton Player and the Skeleton Dancer #2.
Done in plain black and white.
How? you ask?
I attached some tissue paper using a temporary adhesive (stick and spray) onto a plain A4 sheet of paper as a carrier through the printer. Then printed as normal. I did flip one each of the images as well, so that I had a mirrored pair. Once printed, just separated the two layers of paper and tissue, cut out the images and applied to the candle with a heat gun after wrapping in baking paper.
A couple of lengths of ribbon each and some little skully embellishments.
Done.
Valerie is the very talented lady you will, no doubt have visited before me, and now is the turn of the beautiful blog of Sharon.
I'd like to enter these candles into the challenge at

day 25 of S&S 31 days of Hallowe'en
I have so many ideas in my head of what I wanted to make for this epic 31 day blog hop, organised by Smeared and Smudged, but time constraints have stopped them in the thought cycle. I'll definitely start to prepare earlier next year.
The rules and details of all the fabulous sponsors that have generously donated prizes along the way can be found on Terra's Blog and of course on the Smeared and Smudged forum.
The blog list is still there in my right hand side bar - should you get lost.
Thank you all that have kept up with me so far. Your kind comments really make this epic task worth it all.
To those of you that are also blogging your projects as well as commenting - hats off to you. I still don't know when you'd be sleeping, haha.
Today's project is something to be worn. Not just for Hallowe'en either. I know quite a few people that would wear something like this on any day of the year.
A bracelet
made from wooden tiles that are 1.5" x 0.75".
the image is the Skull with Roses image from Rick St Dennis. Just one of the fabulous sponsors of this hop.
The tiles were already stained red. Holes were drilled then sponged with some gold archival ink, then came the images. The original was coloured with promarkers then scanned. Reduced in size using my graphics program and half the images flipped, to form a mirror image. Printed onto paper and stuck onto the tile with a drop of glossy accents. More glossy accents to seal but while still fresh, some nail art gems were embedded. The sides have been waxed with gold paste to give a sheen.
When all dry, the tiles were made into a bracelet using jewellery findings.
That's your lot from this cubby hole today. I hope you went to see the lovely Valerie before visiting here and I'm sure equally lovely Sharon would show you a warm welcome over at her blog next.
I am entering these onto the page of DominoART of Leigh's Readers' Gallery

Haunted Design House with Day 24 of the S&S 31 Days of Halloween
Well, there's only a week left of the 4th Smeared and Smudged 31 days of Hallowe'en blog hop.
One of the sponsors for every day is the fangtastic Rick St Dennis. His Etsy shop is full to the brim of some fabulous images. He also has a facebook group and a group over at Paper Craft Planet. He is also the sponsor this week over at Haunted Design House!
My post today is also part of the Wicked Wednesday inspiration(?) of Haunted Design House.
The challenge this week there is "Nosferatu Ad nauseam"
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that has anything to do with Vampires. Lots of vampires!
Tribute to the unholy Vampire!!
Fangs, blood, sensuality.
We want to see your interpretation of the beautiful or the deadly Vampyre.

We want to see your interpretation of the beautiful or the deadly Vampyre.
I bring you, today, a simple door hanger. The two images used are Vlad and Vanessa, Both coloured in promarkers with pencilled backgrounds.
Mounted onto a chipboard door-hanger that was first covered in a paper from Crafty Chaos.
The words were written in "Fluffy Stuff" from Woodware and heated on both
sides
On Vlad's side I also added red stickles to represent the fresh blood.
Some teardrop red gems in place of real blood.
We'd love to see your Vampyre themed projects over at HDH this week.
The blog list is still there in my right hand side bar - should you get lost
Valerie is the very talented lady you will, no doubt have visited before me, and now is the turn of the beautiful blog of Sharon.
The challenge blog of Rick St Dennis is also having a Hallowe'en themed challenge as well - Why not come link up there as well.
See you tomorrow

day 23 of the S&S 31 days of Hallowe'en
I'm still hanging in here by the skin of my teeth.
The rules and details of all the fabulous sponsors that have generously donated prizes along the way can be found on Terra's Blog and of course on the Smeared and Smudged forum.
The blog list, should you need it, is there in the right hand bar of my blog as well.
Today is a simple collection of keyrings that I have made using dominoes.

Each one different but using similar techniques.
The holes drilled through first. Then splodges of different alcohol inks. Then using little inchy stamps, the images were stamped on. The edges were coloured and waxed, the backs covered with paper then glossy accents applied to set the images. Some got gems as well.
When thoroughly dry the clasp was added with the aid of D-rings.
A simple little gift for a few friends.
Having been to see the fabulous Valerie already, I'm sure, it's the turn of the wonderful art of Sharon to be seen
See you tomorrow for day 24
Thank you for visiting me today and for all the kind comments that have been left by you all throughout this month

Monster Mash for day 22 of the S&S 31 Days of Hallowe'en
There is a new challenge over at Smudgy Antics and this is my DT piece for it. It also doubles up as my 22nd project in this fabulous Hallowe'en blog hop organised by the Smeared & Smudged forum.
I don't know when you'd be sleeping, haha.
Onto the piece I made for today. In-keeping with a similar theme as yesterday's post - the ghostly apparition, this time instead of using rubber and ink, it was done digitally. Taking the opacity of the image down so that is is barely there. Can you see what it is?
Another Fat Book page for my collection. I have used one of the new images over at Smeared Ink; one of the girls in the Freaky Girls collection - Jasmine. I had to choose her - that's my DD name. Mind you, this look nothing like my DD. I teamed her up with the Grim Reaper from the Build a graveyard set and they are mourning the passing of the little blue bird. All coloured with promarkers. This is the page open
and closed
I added an acetate layer and attached a black edging in ribbon and 3 little skull buttons.
Valerie is the very talented lady you will, no doubt have visited before me, and now is the turn of the beautiful blog of Sharon.
Don't forget to read the new rules over at Smudgy Antics - they did change last week - not sure if you are all aware of this
See you tomorrow or when you show your projects at the Smudgy Antics Challenge.

Yesterday I mentioned that I was slacking in making some fat book pages for my own amusement. For something other than a digital reminder of this fabulous blog hop organised again for the 4th year running by the Smeared and Smudged Forum.
This 4"x4" fat book page is dedicated to the Master of Horror Tales. None other than E.A.Poe himself.
The raven is by Lost Coast Designs. The books/skull image is Cherry Pie. The "Nevermore" and "Quoth The Raven" text stamps are Smeared Ink. As is Mr Poe himself. Can you see him?
The ghostly apparition of the man himself.
Images stamped with memento ink with just one bit of masking. EAPoe image stamped with embossing ink and a slightly opaque powder. Black soot and barn door DI followed.
The pleated ribbon and feathers from stash.
Valerie is the very talented lady you will, no doubt have visited before me, and now is the turn of the beautiful blog of Sharon.

Day 20 of The Smeared & Smudged 31 days of Hallowe'en
Morning all. Nearly two-thirds of the way through this gruelling month. How many are feeling like the little witch I have for you today??
The rules and details of all the fabulous sponsors that have generously donated prizes along the way can be found on Terra's Blog and of course on the Smeared and Smudged forum.
The blog list is still there in my right hand side bar - should you get lost.
I had intended, at the beginning, to make a few fat book pages. So that I had more then a digital reminder of the event. Somehow, along the way, this got put aside. This is only the third I have made.
It features a Witch. Rick St Dennis had a bit of a party last weekend on facebook and this was one of the freebies being given away, then retired. Never to be seen again.
Coloured with promarkers. The DP from my scrap box is from the Apothocary Emporium range from echo park.
Another scrap of lime green for the MS punched spider web and yet another scrap - embossed spider web on orange coredinations. A scrap of ribbon, a scrap of material that my wedding dress was made from made into a flower. a small length of chain to which I added a couple of charms and a spider.
That's your lot from this cubby hole today. I hope you went to see the lovely Valerie before visiting here and I'm sure equally lovely Sharon would show you a warm welcome over at her blog next.

A break from all the Hallowe'en makes. I needed to make a card for one of the girls at work who is leaving us for pastures new.
I used the sketch at Twisted Tuesday Challenges as the inspiration for my layout for this super image from Rick St Dennis, Autumn Goddess.
I used promarkers for colouring her
then matted her onto brown cs. You can just see the glamour dust that I used to high light some of the details.
The base paper is a coral coloured home made paper. I spritzed this with a home made mica spray with a dash of red perfect pearls and a hint of a red re-inker. Just enought glimmer in real life but it doesn't show well in the pic. This matted onto more of that brown then a golden colour card base. The top panel is a piece of core-dinations, embossed, overlaid with ribbon. Some pearl brads and some gems all from stash. The flowers are from Duck Pond Crafts.

day 19 of S&S 31 days with Rick St Dennis
Not only is Rick St Dennis one of the awesome sponsors of the Smeared and Smudged 31 days of Hallowe'en, it is also challenge #2 for his new challenge blog, Sparkle and Glitter: The Rick St Dennis Challenge Blog.
The rules and details of all the fabulous sponsors that have generously donated prizes for the 31 day hop can be found on Terra's Blog and of course on the Smeared and Smudged forum.
I happen to be a lucky part of Rick's fabulously talented team. Lucky because, for some unknown reason he liked some of my work :)
It's as part of my 31 projects I bring you this 31 days, my DT piece for this new challenge for day 19.
I made a mobile. It's hanging in my hallway from the stair post. Sorry about the poor quality pics - try as I might, the mobile wouldn't stay still for photos.
The main part is the Haunted House. Printed 4 times and spritzed with 3 different mica sprays, after masking off the moon, for the shine and I hoped to give the look of various apparitions that surround the dwelling. The moon was painted with glow in the dark paint. It's a shame a pic won't take, the eerie green light is something else!!. Hanging from my house are 5 images, I had hoped to put up more, but I ran out of time. I printed out each image twice and flipped one to form the sandwich. These images are also painted with that glow in the dark paint on one of the sides printed out. The other is coloured with promarkers.
The images used were
I was "sensible" for once and took pics before assembling. Each image has a length of nylon jewellery thread stuck between the coloured layer and the GITD layer. This was used to suspend from the haunted house and also so that I could attach little mirror pieces. This not only reflects any light but acts as a weight for the images.
If you are on your way round on the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Hallowe'en hop you will have been past Valerie and now be on your way to Sharon. The blog list is still there on the right in the side bar.
If you are here from the Sparkle and Glitter Challenge blog why not have a wander round those blogs for some added inspiration. Looking forward to seeing everyone's projects.
See you tomorrow
