That's the copy paste bit, lol.
Wow, day 9 already! THAT day will be upon us sooner than many realise.
My next character sums up much of what I think of the commercialism that has elbowed it's way into what should be a time of joy and goodwill. How many have taken out 2nd mortgages or gone into debt just to "keep up with the Jones'"? Just to get their "little darlings" the latest toys that will be forgotten in favour of the boxes?
Anyway enough of my prattling. You may want to see what I made?
Another card. This time following the sketch over at Feeling Sketchy.
an Easel card featuring Bah Humbug. A very Scrooge type figure I think you'll agree.
I must admit - I think I might forgo the dead rats on my wreath.
The image was coloured with promarkers before all the distressing started.
The BP has had ""Bahhhh Humbug" printed on. I'm going to have to get me a rubber stamp before next year.
Then we have three strips of dry embossed and ink distressed DP.
The embellishment - well I felt this totally fitting.
The three ghosts in "A Christmas Carol" and a small length of Marley's chain.
The sentiment on the base, that also forms the "stop" is another of Rick's images, Merry Creepmas, Bones.
Off you pop now to see Nataliya and I'll see you tomorrow.
If you're into Halloween and the creepier side of things be sure to follow the CREEPMAS hop which has all sorts of weird stuff including decor, stories and general insanity...its fun... see left hand side bar logo for link
Great card you've made today Helen! Love the way "Humbug" is colored, that worn look! So much looking like he's fet up with all that Christmas stuff!
ReplyDeleteAnd the embellies: you're right! They fit perfectly! Greetings, Caroline

Great job-love your colour palatte and the feel of the whole card-quite Dickensian and you know ole Charlie was very creepy in his own way so right we should raise a glass to him this time of year
ReplyDeleteHow cool Helen. I don't know how you and the others are turning out so much great work for the creepmas blog hop. The chain and ghosts is a brilliant adornment for this card x
ReplyDeleteOh Helen, this has a gorgeous vintage feel. Just like something out of Dicken's A Creepmas Carol. Love the inked embossing and Scrooge looks like he's running from the Ghost of Creepmas Past. I see his chains rattling there. FABULOUS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and love the scrooge guy.
