Hi and welcome to the first annual Creepmas Blog Hop with Rick St Dennis and his wonderful EDT ladies - we will be hopping for 13 days starting Saturday Dec 1, 2012 with new projects and new images every day for 13 days.
Rick has a freebie available on his blog for a while. Also today we are having a contest with this image on the Facebook fan site "Rick St Dennis digi fans and friends" So we are expecting to see all sorts of variations of this image...
Don't forget the daily contest - somewhere in the blog hop there is a new image that just rolled out that day when you find it post on that blog and then rush back here and post what the image is and where you found the new image - you must be first on BOTH blogs to post in order to win the image - on future days you will also win the new image from Rick's blog - yes there are 2 images per day being rolled out but today everyone is a winner because of the free image.
My project for today is a "Gift Card" A card in which a flat gift like money or token can be added.
The base is a gatefold card using olive green card stock.
Some pink and green crimbo paper from stash, well distressed with forest moss DI. A piece of deep bottle green card that has silvery flecks in it as the mat for that torn dark olive coredinations, then my image.
Open this panel of the card and
The "Merry Creepmas" sentiment can be found here.
Then inside again
The coredinations card was used again here as the pocket, secured with eyelets to the main BP.
The blog roll can be seen over on the left, starting with Rick's "Airless Chambers" blog and ending with Nataliya's
If you're into Halloween and the creepier side of things be sure to follow the CREEPMAS hop which has all sorts of weird stuff including decor, stories and general insanity...its fun... see left hand side bar logo for link
Oh Helen, I'd say pink is your color! LOL Fab card and I love the ribbon through the eyelets and the non menacing prezzie embellies. (Oh, Oh, her eyes are the same color as her dress. LOL) xxD
ReplyDeleteI love your pink and olive combo although I agree it's hard to wear clothes that don't feel like you. At 70, I can still remember the despair of having to put on an olive green Christmas dress that my parents loved! Ick! I adore your inventively folded cards!!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Croms and fabbo colouring :-)
ReplyDeleteHe didn't tell you never to have the eyes the same colour as the dress then ??!!!
Love the way you have colored this!!! Really awesome creation.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, I love that her eyes match her dress!
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! Love that fold too!

LOL! I was wondering what was going on in your head when I saw you using pink! Your card is brilliant and I must steal that idea for my cash Crimbo gifts. You have definitely made this little girl look creepy! Great job!

Pretty in PINK? Fun card love the color choice. Pink is the new red in Christmas cards this year. And adding a drippy sentiment is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteGreat project and I am loving not only the colours but the aged and distressed look of this project-well done you!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, Love it, Hazelxo
ReplyDeleteLooks like great minds think alike in using this image for today's start of Creepmas. Loving her in her horrifically pink dress!
ReplyDeleteHelen this is gorgeous, she is so creepy even in pink, I like pink LOL
ReplyDeletegreat card, love the vintage feel
This is fabulous! Great idea for the "gift" card. Love your work, which you already know. Thanks so much for all your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi Helen,
ReplyDeleteLove your 'Prezzies'! I like the way you colored her! It's pink but not girly; more old and worn!
I finished coloring mine tonight and she is PINK! Greetings, Caroline
This is definitely a most unusual card and definitely fits the CREEPmas theme. While it also fits the Card Crafter's Circle "presents" theme, it isn't exactly what we were expecting from our challenge entries.
ReplyDeleteHi Helen... this gift giving gal is giving me goosebumps! LOL ... I'm sure she's rocking the first day of Creepmas.... thanks for sharing it at the Card Crafter's Circle!
ReplyDeletehugs,
